
On Thursday June 11th, 2020, Baja California SUR Governor Carlos Mendoza made the following announcement:
“The COVID State Alert Level System will be the guide to how to act during the phase we are in. Starting June 15th, we will move from level 6 to 5. Together we have made a great effort and that collective responsibility allows us today, taking care of health, to begin phase two of our economic plan: the gradual reopening. Let consciousness and responsibility be our best guides; let’s continue to apply hygiene and care measures.”
At the meeting of the State Health Safety Committee, they authorized to move from level 6 to 5 in the Health Alert System, so they can restart non-essential, recreational and sociocultural economic activities allowed. This new provision will take effect from June 15th. Learn more at:

Departures SJD Airport serves as a port that accepts and manages airline flights however, SJD does not dictate their individual schedules.
As a port SJD Airport provides space for domestic and international passengers to be processed by Mexican Customs and Immigration and does not control their operations.
The implementation of enhanced procedures at the SJD International Airport, such as thermal cameras and travel background checks on all arriving passengers, that will be done in coordination with other state airports, ports and land entry points.
Many properties are deep cleaning and disinfecting areas on an hourly basis, adding in hand sanitizer stations, implementing social distancing policies, requiring associates to undergo daily temperature checks and more

Acre has temporarily closed until further notice.
Hotel El Ganzo has temporarily suspended operations until further notice.
One&Only Palmilla has temporarily closed as of April 1 with a reopening date yet to be confirmed.
JW Marriott Los Cabos is currently temporarily closed and will reopen again as soon as possible.
In a move to keep the region and incoming tourists safe the group decided together to keep Los Cabos resorts and beaches on lockdown until June 16th, 2020. A reconsideration of this decision could come sooner.
