As a Real Estate Professional, I am keen to describe my properties as a “Great Investment Opportunity” … well, that saying has acquired a new meaning over the past few months.
Baja California Sur is home to thousands of families that are working and doing their best to give back to this beautiful land. It is also the chosen location for thousands of foreigners that love spicy food, siesta time and having a permanent tan line: they are the proud owners of a home in this slice of paradise. Although many have chosen to permanently live here full time, many others use their property sporadically as a vacationing spot with friends and family.
In the current environment that we all have to deal with – being required to stay at home and not to leave unless necessary has made me realize, that our homes have become our office, our improvised gym, our virtual meeting place, our dancing parlor… and it feels GREAT to have a sacred space to do it all and to call our own.
I cannot help but feel happiness for all the families living in a gated community that can still enjoy a quick evening stroll around their neighborhood and feel a bit of freedom. I cannot help but feel a bit jealous about those who have chosen to stay back at their beach home and weather the storm out.
